Pregnancy Pillow
I bought Sarah a “Pregnancy Pillow Deluxe” tonight. I looked at the full body pillows but decided to try this. It seemed less obtrusive. She is starting to have lots of problems sleeping and getting comfortable in bed.
“It’s not unbearable yet” she says. I want to try to find something that works before we get to that point. I know until that baby comes out she will not be comfortable, but I want to help as much as I can.

What are the thoughts out there about body pillows? I’ll let you know how the wedge pillow works out.

I keep one body pillow behind me and one front of me. The one behind is “meant” to keep me from rolling over on my back but it doesn’t usally work…I wind up like an upside down turtle. I’m a tummy sleeper from way back and I MISS IT so much!

ME TOO!! Oh, there are times when I will roll over on my belly for just a few blessed moments (I’m at the size where I can still do it comfortably for a minute or two), and just revel in it. AND, because I can’t sleep on my belly now, BRYAN CAN’T RUB MY BACK. Sucks.

Is she a side sleeper?? I am a side sleeper, so I don’t have the rolling over issue. I bought a very simple body pillow from Sharper Image and have used it through 2 pregnancies now. It supports both my stomach and I tuck it between my knees.
The pillow you purchased will go great lengths in supporting her stomach as time goes on. She may want to consider a smaller pillow for tucking between her knees if she has any issues with her hips/joints - a pillow between your knees keeps you hips/legs in line. I feel like my grandma, but I learned it from her!
