Lion baby

Jack would shake his head from side to side until I thought his brain would flop out…maybe some did. He did it because he got a reaction. I would laugh and mimic him. We’d play that game for what seemed to be hours.

Tony roars. It’s awesome. He did it with Sarah first…and it startled her. It has that affect on you the first time you hear it. I did a double take, even though I was warned. It’s very cool. He’ll just look at you and roar. It’s this low roar in the back of his throat.

So I wondered…could it be something deeper.

What is his sign? He’s a Sagittarius…um that’s the archer. I can’t make that work. Maybe it’s like a hunter roar…no. Here’s what I did learn…


Sagittarius is classed as a Positive or masculine, extrovert sign; its element is Fire and its Quality is Mutable. Sagittarius is ruled by the planet Jupiter.


What about the Chinese zodiac? 2007 is the Year of the Pig. Um…that would be one scary pig…but maybe a boar.


In Chinese culture, the pig is associated with fertility and virility. To bear children in the year of the pig is considered to be very fortunate, for they will be happy and honest.

So I don’t know if it’s anything deeper than just a long, drawn out, grunt…but it’s still pretty cool.

And…Congrats Jayhawks!
