They need to add “do something special when your newborn is around 3 weeks old”.

I remember, the first few weeks were blur of cookie and flower deliveries accompanied by visitors. Then, 3 weeks arrives and you are sitting at home alone with a newborn and your hubby is back to work, on his regular schedule - while your schedule is pretty much never to return (at least in my case, 19 months later it still hasn’t! :-)

With this new baby coming, I am going to tell my husband explicitly I would like some flowers or something at around 3 weeks - not demanding, just reminding. He has a lot on his plate right now, also.

I love that they are trying to get fathers involved while babies are tiny. It’s so wonderful to have a husband who can help with the baby and not feel intimidated!!!

The only issue I have is that many people around the world boycott Nestle because of its unethical formula marketing practices in much of the world. When formula is marketed unethically in the U.S., it’s not that big of a deal for many people. When a mother in the third world is convinced to formula feed by a marketing campaign, it can lead to illness and death. If you want more info about the marketing practices, check out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nestl%C3%A9_boycott.

I love their cookies too. I use the recipe and just subsitute Ghirardelli chocolate chips so I don’t have to buy from them! ;)
